2026 VVMS Polar Plunge

Valley View's 2nd annual Polar Plunge is coming up on Friday, April 3rd!

A Polar Plunge is an opportunity for Valley View students to come together to celebrate inclusion, have fun, and raise money and awareness to support Unified activities at Valley View and across Minnesota. Watch our Polar Plunge hype video for this year.

Valley View students have learned about this opportunity for the past few weeks, and now we need your help as caregivers to help kids get signed up and raise awareness and money!

Questions to ask your student...

  • Are you planning on 'taking the plunge'?
  • Have you created a Polar Plunge account yet?
Use page 1 of this Sign-up Doc to create one.
  • Have you sent any emails yet to fundraise money?
Use page 2 of this Sign-up Doc to create one.

Reach out to the Valley View main office or Mr. Lowe (erik.lowe@edinaschools.org) if you have any questions.

Thank You to Tono's Pizzeria & Cheesesteaks!

Tono’s Pizzeria & Cheesesteaks on 50th & Xerxes donated the entire cost 20+ pizzas for our staff dinner prior to the Vibe-a-Ganza.  The VVMS Teacher Appreciation team was able to pair it with salad, cookies & drinks to have the staff ready to go for the evening.

*Reminder* Middle School Food Drive participation is online only.

Purchase Your Yearbook!

The yearbook Staff is wrapping up creating this year’s book, and it’s going to be a great one!

To secure your copy be sure to order yours as soon as possible, there will only be a few extras ordered and we always sell out! We sent an email on Friday 2/6/26 to all non-buyers as a reminder. If you received that email, you can assume you didn’t order a yearbook for 2026.

You can order your yearbook online at Josten's

Hornet Cares Fund

The Hornet Cares Fund provides direct support to Edina Public Schools families and staff facing temporary hardship, helping ensure stability, dignity, and continued access to school and community resources.

As of February 22, $55,000 has been raised; $27,000 in gift cards has been distributed to families who have reached out to their schools seeking assistance. Additional gift cards are being purchased and processed. Learn more and make a tax deductible donation to the fund.

If you need help, please reach out to a school social worker, cultural liaison, school administrator, or any school teacher. They are ready to support you and provide you with information. Visit the Immigration Resources page on the EPS website for more information as well as links to the latest communications from District leadership.

Volunteer at Valley View!
Lunch and Hall Monitors

Come experience the Valley View VIBE and make a difference in students' lives!

We love having our VVMS parents volunteer during passing times and at lunch! It is a great way to experience the school and make a positive difference in the lives of Valley View students!

We are offering work spaces for those who want to come during our passing time. This allows our parents to supervise halls during transition time but then hop back into an office to work. We're happy to accommodate!

For reference, here is the VV Daily Schedule.

Thank you!!

Working with middle school requires the right temperament. We mostly just need you to be smiley, and cheerful. We avoid practices that involve screaming or yelling. We prefer softer approaches that are kind but firm. Individuals volunteering are able to suspend bias and judgment and can offer support for all students. If you think this is you? Please help us in adding a greater eco-system like approach to how we guide and shepherd our young Hornets.

Parking for Parent Visitors

Parents and caregivers, if you are visiting Valley View please check in at the front desk and a clipboard will be provided for you to enter your vehicle information. This will prevent any boots or ticketing.

Thank You!

Wayfinders: A Community Approach to Meaningful Student Career Exploration

Students don’t know what they don’t know. Most high school students—if they have started exploring at all—only explore careers they’re already familiar with. As a community, we can change that. Whether you are a parent, educator, community leader, business leader, or member of a faith community or service organization, YOU can help young people find their way. Join us to learn from community experts—including EHS students themselves—about what they need to thrive.
