You’re invited to join us for our VVMS Curriculum Night!

When: Thursday, September 7th from 5:00 pm – 7:15 pm

This evening is NOT designed to be an Open House, please plan to attend the entire evening in order to see all teachers.

We will follow THIS SCHEDULE

What:

  • Walk your student’s schedule to get a snapshot of their day.
  • Meet their teachers & learn about the curriculum for each class
  • Hear about class and grade level expectations
  • Learn how to best support your student’s learning throughout the year

Additional Information:

  • You will need access to your student’s schedule during the evening.  You can also print and fill out the Curriculum Night Form (below) to help navigate evening.
  • Can’t make it to Curriculum Night?  No worries…you can access all of the information by watching THESE SCREENCASTS from each of your student’s teachers.

*This event is for parents and caregivers, students are welcome to attend but they should have at least one parent/caregiver with them.

Water Bottles for Students

We encourage our young Hornets to stay hydrated! The safest containers are those made of plastic or metal. Glass containers are dangerous and can lead to safety hazards.

We have a spectacular maintenance and custodial crew, so we respond swiftly but it's very important to send our students to school with durable, safe products.

Reach out if you need help finding something that aligns with our guidance!

PTO News
Staff & Teacher Luncheon

Last Friday the PTO treated the Valley View staff and teachers to a luncheon of sandwiches, salads, treats, and more.

Everyone stopped by in between meetings and prepping to enjoy a treat. All made possible through your support and contributions to the PTO.

Thank you!!

School Directory

Valley View has a digital school directory hosted in Membership Toolkit.

Remember to create or update your contact information for the current school year.

When you create/update your Membership Toolkit profile you have the choice to select which information is displayed in the directory. You also have the choice to opt out of the directory.

Unable to access the directory? Only paid members have access to the directory to ensure privacy for our families. If you are currently unable to cover the PTO dues you can still have access to the directory, simply go to the PTO Dues form and use code 'VVMSPTODUES2023' at checkout, this will ensure that your membership is activated and the directory will become visible to you. All scholarship information is confidential.

Food & Nutrition

Beginning on July 1, 2023, Edina has joined the Minnesota Free School Meals Program. All students are eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch free each school day. If your student wants to receive a second lunch, an individual milk without a complete meal, or any other of our a-la-carte options, students will need to pay for these items through money in their lunch account.

Although no application is required to receive the free meal benefit, filling out the Application for Educational Benefits is still important as it can provide other benefits to your student and helps the school qualify for education funds.

Raptor Visitor Management System

New to Edina Schools this year, the Raptor Visitor Management System will be used to check in all visitors. A letter was sent out to all EPS families on July 26th with more details about this new system and check-in process.

Here are a few videos that also help to explain the Raptor system:
